Legal Tips for Businesses
Tip: If your company enters into a large number of consumer contracts, you should consider including an arbitration clause with a class action waiver. See AT&T Mobility v. Concepcion (U.S. Supreme Court 2011).
Tip: A company should provide each employee with an employee handbook describing the rules of the job. But that employee handbook should be written so that it is not considered a contract. See Pine River State Bank v. Mettille (Minnesota 1983).
